Our American Standard Heat Pump makes a very loud humming/vibration noise when the heat comes on. This occurred even during milder weather, so I don‘t believe the noise was due to ice/snow buildup. The service technician (Dan) was very thorough and did extensive tests, but could not solve the issue. He explained various things that could cause the noise and they seemed plausible, but not fixable. Dan did ensure us that the Heat Pump was in working condition despite the noise. Dan was very professional and honest and I would not hesitate to use his services again despite his not fixing the issue.
