- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based on the average of the location that the work is being completed in. To help us determine our pricing, we look at our clients service areas’ current average cost for a specific job and try to stick to the low end.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically when working with a new customer we will either message or call directly (depending on how detailed the job is) to obtain more information about the project and the clients availabilities. We will sometimes just need pictures (such as with TV mounting) or will schedule a free in-home estimate (for more detailed projects) to help us provide a quote.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
The advice I would give to customers is to contact service providers on Thumbtack only if you are serious about hiring. While we do think it’s crucial to do your due diligence when hiring someone; there is a difference between due diligence and expressing interest with no intentions of following through. Most of us on Thumbtack are smaller businesses and we are all being hit by fees for leads every time you contact us, even if you do not intend to hire or never answer.
