FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our session fee includes: • Time and talent of the photographer • On location shoot • Professional Editing of all photos • Private online photo gallery that you can share The images are not included in the session fee, but can be purchased online. I offer high-resolution digital files as well as heirloom quality prints or canvases from a professional printing service. Digital files start at 4.99 and prints are reasonably priced. (5 x 7 = 9.99). I can also put the photos on a flash drive. The pricing on the flash drive would be less than purchasing each one separately, and depend on how many total photos there are. There are also other products available on my website like wedding invitations, Christmas cards, keepsake boxes, mugs, key tags, cards, phone cases etc. I don’t promise a certain amount of photos, but I do post all of the ones that I feel turned out well. I don’t have any “packages”. I like to let my clients order whatever specific amount/size they like! You can share the web address and password with any friends and family who might enjoy seeing or ordering their own photos. I can remove any photos that you don’t like before you share the link. Many of my clients enjoy that option because it saves them time collecting money and delivering photos, or posting them online. My session fee runs $250-300 depending on how much time, and how many locations. For Family Portraits I many add a bit more depending on how many family groupings there are. I have portrait guides with more information and tips on what to wear, what to expect during a photo shoot, and what my portrait fee includes that you can see on my website. It only takes a few minutes to read thru one that is made for your specific type of portrait - senior, engagement, newborn, family, or professional. Just click on "tips for portraits" under the info tab on my website.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I spend time talking with each client by email, phone or personal meeting before their shoot asking questions about their expectations, and learning a little bit about them. My specialty is creating photos that show personality. Sometimes that means finding a great location, other times it means including creative props or pets. I also have portrait guides that I send to new clients with information about what to expect, how to choose a location, wardrobe, and other information. Each client is different, and I enjoy helping to create unique portraits!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken photography classes, but I have learned the most thru experience over many years of snapping photos for clients!
