I am so glad I went to thumbtack to find a pro, because if I hadn't, I would never have found TruBlue House Care of Cranberry! I met with Jason to discuss work and prices, and he quoted me a fair price with within a reasonable period of time. There was no ghosting, as is the case with many handyman services. They did not charge me a rate based on the neighborhood I live in like many people who come into my house to provide a service do. They are people of their word. Yesterday and Today, Kevin was the main person who did the work. I was blown away by the professionalism and attention to detail of the work done. He really wants everything to look great, and look great it does! I'd post pictures, but without before photos, there's no real context to provide. Take my word for it, Kevin is boss. There were some issues that I hadn't brought to Jason's attention that Kevin identified for me, and he got an on-the-fly quote and did the work. Quotes were reasonable and the additional work also expertly done. He's a freaking cool guy to boot and someone I would hang out with. We will be having them back out to do more work in the spring. What really put the icing on the cake was that we have a bunch of woodpecker holes in our stucco facade that Jason was initially hesitant about doing, not because he can't do it, but they're just not known for stucco repair. When I saw Jason again today, I told him about how another handyman who had promised to do the work told me he needed a few weeks and then ghosted me and wouldn't return my text messages, and in the time that I waited for him I could have hired someone else. Jason had Kevin and another guy (Cameron, I think) filled the holes with foam to prevent any animals from making a nest in there and didn't charge me a whole lot to do it, and he will be quoting me a price for doing that stucco work in the spring. And because I know that TruBlue is reliable AF, I can rest assured that if I feel the price is reasonable, and we agree to have them do the work, THEY WILL COME OUT AND DO THE WORK AS AGREED! Thank you, TruBlue House Care of Cranberry! I appreciate Jason, Kevin, Cameron, and anyone else who came out here whose name I might not have gotten. I recommend this business wholeheartedly, and with all my other vital organs as well!

I didn't actually hire them. The Thumbtack app won't allow me to proceed unless I choose one of the 2 handyman they recommended. I picked TruBlue so that the Thumbtack app would complete this task and quit badgering me. On a bright note, I did meet with Matt from TruBlue. He was a great guy. Very helpful and informative. I envision using his company for future projects.

LOL, so funny! Thumbtack can be persistent! You should see the number of emails we get if we don't respond to a lead immediately! In any case, we are happy you had a good first experience. We hope to hear from you in the future! Matt

Matt's a great guy, with good work ethic. He personally came back to my house, to finish the job. And was a great value. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a handyman. And will be using his services in the future.

EDIT: After leaving my original review I received another call notifying me they had messed up the billing again and that my original quote price of $149 was correct and they would refund the mistaken extra charged. The work they did was fine, staff were all nice. The only issue was making sure billing is correct. Definitely keep an eye on your invoice total and ask for an itemized bill if anything seems off! I am glad they rectified the issue and thus will change my original rating here to reflect that, but the fact this even happened is why I will not rate five stars. Original review: Was quoted $149 and received an invoice for $450. Called politely expressing my surprise and requested an itemized bill. Got a call back shortly after and was told they made a mistake and the invoice was accidentally sent for two hours work instead of correctly for just one. Makes one question if this mistake has happened to others… New invoice arrives for $225 and was told that this bill included the cost of the caulk. $76 for some caulk?? Still never received an itemized bill to confirm why the estimate a so much lower the final price, so I can only fathom they charge an insane amount for any materials utilized. In general this made no sense that the time cut in half cut the bill exactly in half yet somehow included materials… When my initial quote of $149 I presumed was for an hour’s work not including materials. (This job was just installing a new exhaust vent cover externally by the way… Nothing complex.) Overall I felt quite mislead by the lack of details to their billing process.

I am very satisfied with the work that Russell Barkey did shoring up the privacy fence panels that needed to be attached. Russell was courteous, professional, friendly and he knew how to fix the issue. He also recapped exactly what he did upon completion of the project. I will definitely call you folks for any other repairs or replacements I may need! I know we are teed up in spring to create a double gate and shore up the leaning panels on the left side of my home. I would recommend!!!!

Details: Fence sections need replacement • Fence is leaning or sagging • I'm not sure, I need a professional's help to identify • Residential
