I always love working with Alex! He is very sweet and always has a good vision when we shoot.

I’ve recently had the opportunity to work with Alex on multiple projects. He took some of the best professional headshots of me. He finds a way to capture photos of people in their best light even if you’re not experienced being in front of the camera. He works hard on his projects and delivers his images on a timely manner. I hired Alex for a family photoshoot through Thumbtack, and while our initial interactions were positive, the overall experience was less than satisfactory.
To start with the positives, Alex was prompt and professional in his communication. When I made an error with the date, he was very accommodating and worked with us to reschedule the shoot. This flexibility was much appreciated and initially gave a good impression of his service.
However, the experience took a turn for the worse after the photoshoot. Before committing to the shoot, I sent Alex two sample photos and requested a specific editing style. His response was reassuring: "Great, I will be able to do that for you guys." Unfortunately, this was not the case.
When the photos were delivered, they were already edited in a style that was not what we had envisioned. We were not given the opportunity to review all the photos taken or select our preferred shots. Infact, we were denied when we requested to see all the photos. Moreover, despite our repeated requests, Alex refused to adjust the photos to the brighter tone we had discussed prior to contracting him. His consistent refusal to accommodate our editing preferences was disappointing and frustrating.
While I appreciate Alex's effort in making the shoot happen within a tight schedule, the final product did not meet our expectations. If we had known about his rigid editing style earlier, we might have chosen a different photographer who could better align with our vision. Overall, the lack of flexibility and failure to deliver on our specific requests overshadowed the positive aspects of our initial interactions.
