I was looking for a professional on Thumbtack and came across Josie. I knew I wanted her from reading the reviews and photos. My mom and I(bride) had an fabulous experience with getting our hair and makeup done by Josie. She arrived early to the venue and her setup was very professional. We enjoyed and trusted her process and were absolutely in love with the finished look. My wedding day would not have been the same because I felt so beautiful and glam thanks to Josie. I recommend her services to anyone since she is so talented and kind and does not break the budget.

All of Josie's reviews are wonderful because she is wonderful! She listens to what you want and adjusts the make-up to best compliment your face/skin. It feels like your friend is doing your makeup for you (if your friend just happens to be a professional make-up artist) The trial was great for getting things exactly how you want so on the day of the event it is stress free and you know you are going to look fabulous. I was sad when I had to wash the make-up off both times. I will try to update with photos when I get them back. But in the meantime if you are looking for a make-up artist, you want Josie because she is the best and will make you feel beautiful!

I couldn't recommend Josie enough. She was always very responsive and has such a positive energy. I felt very relaxed and beautiful on my wedding day because she did such a wonderful job on everyone. I don't wear makeup often, but Josie was awesome about explaining everything she was doing and answered questions that my bridesmaids had about makeup in general. One of my bridesmaids did tear up after she saw her makeup! Josie is really skilled at what she does and she's such a genuinely lovely person to be around, I couldn't recommend anyone better!

Josie was AMAZING!! So sweet of a person and so talented! Josie did my makeup for my wedding as well as hair and makeup for all 6 of my bridesmaids! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based reasonably on the market area. I also consider travel time and gas as an expense. I also based my pricing on the fact that I use very high-end cosmetic products such as Lancome, Stila, Urban Decay, Huda Beauty and Clinique.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first initial contact is here through thumbtack or my website and to put the customer more at ease with who I am I offer my background and experience that I have in cosmetics. I always offer a meeting over coffee and/or a trial. Getting the customer to feel comfortable with me is always my first goal and I always enjoy building relationships with my clients.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have had over 20 years experience in cosmetic sales. All of my education has been paid for through high-end Prestige branding of cosmetics in the retail industry.
