FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
When I quote a price, it is often times determined by location. I do not add on to a price unless something else has been added to the ceremony; i.e., unity sand ceremony or photography.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
From the first conversation, it is my goal to get to know a client. It makes it easier for me to write their ceremony. It also allows them to get to know me before the ceremony. This is to help all of us to be comfortable with each other and less nervous the day of the ceremoy.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
There really isn't a training or anything that is required to help you learn how to be an officiant, photographer or planner. I took classes on psychology and social psychology, and they have been really helpful in my work. I did wedding planning years ago, so that made it easier to come back into now. I have also picked some new information since starting. I have always been a photographer: family photos, birthdays and Christmas. After learning different techniques, taking online classes and participating in various contests, I have refined my ability with a camera, and it is usually with me wherever I go.
