Dave F. says, "Stacey sat down with me on the 1st session to get to know me, why I was coming to see her, and how she might be able to help. I was in a bad car wreck almost 50 years ago and the arthritis is getting quite painful, and I have had chronic (sometimes acute) back pain. She quickly put me into a regime to introduce me to yoga and started with the mountain pose. She corrected my stance to narrow my foot spacing and redirected my toes from pointing out to slightly in. She told me to grip the earth. I didn't feel it, but the next day, when I started my yoga at home, I said "grip the earth. HA!" and did an exaggerated toe in stance. AND I GOT IT!
As sessions went on we spent time talking about what I learned, and she showed me new routines to add to the others I had been working on. After a couple months, one day, I noticed that the chronic back pain was gone! The stretches to restore my physical balance and the conversations to enhance my inner balance were work! I can't slack off too much, or I can feel the back pain coming back, But it is great to know how to make it disappear without drugs or surgery.
