Stephen M. says, "There's some people that are gear geeks and have the best equipment money can buy, but they just. don't. have. the. mojo. to pull off what you need. Ric isn't one of them. He's got great gear mind you (and he can geek out with the best of them), and one of the best studio atmospheres at the Monastery (it feels so good you don't want to leave). But more importantly, Ric knows the signal chain really well. That everything starts with the best performance, then instruments, then equipment. One classic Ric moment was when I asked him what he did to to a certain compressor that made the guitar part sound so rad and he replied, "I don't know... I just turned knobs until it sounded good." He's a wizard with the knobs and he'll make you sound really good. You can trust Ric with your vision. I highly recommend paying him a visit and hearing his passion for music."See more

I had a previous singing teacher that was pretty harsh and learning with her wasn't fun. Working with Kevin has changed singing for me!Kevin is not only extremely talented with music and his teaching skills ( I am a full time school teacher as well, so I understand good pedagogy) but he makes learning music fun and accessible. He is always encouraging, never harsh or critical.Another thing I appreciate is that Kevin will make the lessons work for your goals. Want to study the technical side of music? He's got you. Just want to sing for fun and carry a tune and not worry about music theory? He's got you. You can come with a plan in mind and he will help you execute it or you can let him guide the session, either way it is always a blast.I know my singing has improved in my work with Kevin.He also works with people of all ages.
