My experience has been excellent with Ric. He is a great guitar instructor. He is also very friendly and flexible. I enjoy my lessons, but I also enjoy our conversations. The studio is really cool too. My recommendation speaks for itself, as I will be signing up my seven-year-old son with Ric for his first guitar lessons. Thumbs up!

Ric is an amazing mentor! He is able to work from beginner chords/scales to deep music theory to mastering home recording. I had been playing guitar for about 15 years, all self taught, before I started taking lessons from Ric. Man, I wish I would have started earlier. It's been 4 years now and the results have been transformational. When I first started taking lessons I could fumble through some pentatonic scales in 1 key. 4 years later, I've been writing and recording my own songs with help guidance from Ric. Beyond just learning scales, modes, triads, arpeggios, etc., where Ric is really great is discovering what and why something sounds and feels good. Turning everything you learn into something you and other enjoy listening too, which is the ultimate goal of a guitarist.

Ric's studio is a good distance from where I live but I hired him to teach me guitar because of his great credentials, his quick responses to my inquiries and because he seemed undaunted that I was a complete novice. It did not take long for Ric and I to establish a rapport. Rather than insist on his agenda, he asked about my goals and he has been expertly and patiently guiding me toward achieving them. Ric makes it fun but he does insist on building good habits and technique, and this is important to me since I want to learn the right way. Since I learned my first "C" chord months ago I have had a great deal of fun playing many of the songs I loved when I was a young man - I highly recommend Ric - a great gentleman and a super instructor!!
