Laura is such an amazing person and very easy to work with! I highly recommend her in every way. I reached out to her for a corporate headshot. I had never had professional photographs taken before and she made the entire experience easy and painless from start to finish. First of all, she was extremely responsive and answered all my questions by email before we set up an appointment. She made herself available to accommodate my schedule and was extremely professional and a joy to work with. She promised me the experience would be fun and it really was! I can be very self-critical and she reassured me and put me at ease throughout the photo shoot. She also paid tremendous attention to the corporate guidelines required for my photo and painstakingly worked to adjust lighting and framing to meet the specifications. Afterwards, she sent me a great assortment of photos that were of very high quality and allowed me time to select the photo that best met my needs. The turnaround time on editing and getting me the final headshot was quick and I was able to pay the invoice online. The entire process was very positive and professional and I would not hesitate to call upon Laura again in the future!

I cannot say enough good things about Laura, her work, and our session! After we talked about what kind of headshot I was looking for, Laura made the whole session so easy and fun, and she showed me the photos along the way. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Discovery is huge! I like to spend time either on the phone, email or text to get a clear idea of any specific requests or vision that the customer may have about the shoot. I believe that the best photos come from a genuine connection and a good feeling of collaboration.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have studied photography at The New School and School of Visual Arts. I have also accumulated thousands of hours watching videos on YouTube. Living in New York is also a great place to be able to regularly attend workshops at Adorama and photography trade shows. I have to say that my best teacher has been experience working with hundreds of different types of clients.
