Introduction

Although I'm new to Thumbtack, I'm certainly not new to the worlds of carpentry and design. With 25+ years of experience in carpentry and experiential design/fabrication, there isn't much i haven't seen. Experiential design requires an enormous amount of time, precision, and dedication. The work is wonderful, yet not completely fulfilling for me. Having recently switched my focus to my post graduate studies in interdisciplinary fine art work, my need for creating has now outweighed my desire to completely immerse myself in the temporary world of experience-driven marketing. Thumbtack allows me the freedom to cultivate my interdisciplinary art aspirations by providing the necessary time to nurture what I believe in. This also provides my clients with a high quality execution of hyper-detailed projects, with a personal care approach, all at a fraction of the cost of larger high-volume companies.

Kahil was responsive to my request for help in rebuilding a door to a custom piece that had started to fall apart. He came to look at it and took it away to make a new one from the specifications of the old one. In ten days he returned with a much more stable and beautiful door that is better than the original. He also made an adjustment to the cabinet that the door attached to on the day that he returned. I had just asked if he could do that, and he made the repair that day. I highly recommend him.
