FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I welcome the opportunity to talk about the business needs and offer a free initial consultation. At that time we can discuss the scope of the business including strengths, weaknesses and unique issues of the business. After the initial consult, a scope of work along with objectives and timeline will be put in place. Once that is agreed to, weekly calls or on site meetings can be set-up based on needs. The guidelines will continue to evolve and be fine tuned at every meeting. The goal is to constantly look at results, discuss them and make changes based on the findings.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of business experience with a diverse mix of companies and responsibilities. I enjoy working with business owners and helping them find solutions for them to succeed and grow. Prior to consulting, I owned a successful Outdoor Lighting Business for 20 years and understand the daily challenges that come with wearing many hats. From hiring employees, to building sales, driving marketing efforts and analyzing the financials I know what is involved. Before owning a business, I worked in the corporate world as a Senior Buyer for Bed, Bath and Beyond. I was instrumental in launching and growing many of the beyond businesses for the company.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
While doing networking for the lighting business, I spent time mentoring high school students. I prepared the students for state and national DECA business competitions and got involved in other business mentoring groups. I thrived on being a part of this and am energized by the constant change and ongoing evolution of business ideas and services. After working with students, I ventured into the business consulting.
