Introduction

We stand out because our lessons are created for those who are very passionate about singing and building their craft for a career. Some lessons include vocal rudiments, power house stage techniques and creative sound writing. Students are given advice on how to overcome audition anxiety and give an amazing performance with preparation. I love to interact and learn new personalities! Another favorite part of my job is that student showcases are scheduled annually so that they may perform in a supportive environment for a live audience of family, friends and fellow students. Watching them build their confidence and having fun in front of a relatively large crowd is always beautiful to watch.

I took my very first singing lesson today EVER in my 25 years of life. I chose Jana and the MustardSeed company because you can tell they carry passion with their service and I was absolutely right!! I was incredibly nervous and Jana made me so comfortable and walked me through what to expect and by the end of our first session I’ve never been more excited to start my vocal training. If you’re thinking about it, this is your sign to just book it!

Jana is absolutely lovely to work with. She took me, a person with zero experience in singing, into someone that’s genuinely excited about the next lesson. She’s obviously incredibly talented and has an innate ability to make people feel comfortable around her. I trialed her for 30 minutes and immediately signed up for a monthly package afterwards. I don’t say this often, but she’s genuinely a rare kind of teacher that’s genuinely cares about her subject and her students and I picked up on that immediately. I LOVE that she comes to my apartment for my lesson. Definitely go with her if you’re a beginner like me that’s trying to get out of your comfort zone, but also if you’re an established singer trying to hone your skills. She’ll mold you into something wonderful, no doubt.

I have my students fill out a registration form in which I obtain basic information, personality traits etc and then we schedule an introductory vocal lesson.
