- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing can vary widely based on: - The ceremony you're looking for. - Do you want a completely customized ceremony? - Do you want me at the rehearsal? - How much travel is involved? - Is this an off-time ceremony (weekday? winter?). Saturdays in the Summer are obviously at a premium, often with several couples seeking the same date.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We meet here (Thumbtack) and then get together on the phone. I send out an initial Ceremony Interview to get an idea what type of ceremony is desired. Then sometimes we meet in advance (for custom ceremonies) and then stay in touch up to and--if included--and including the rehearsal. We then have a great ceremony and I pride myself on filing paperwork that very day.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of the Universal Life Church of Seattle. I stay informed through their continuous updates. Having performed close to 80 ceremonies so far has taught me much, too. I am also a former cantor from my church and have sung at many, many weddings in the past.
