FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for special occasions is in line or below average personal chef rates. I tend to select more complex recipes which require added time for sauces made with fresh herbs and marinades but I am generous with the time I spend. The majority of my clients get more than what they pay for.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to conduct an initial phone call to learn about the special occasion, favorite foods and cuisines, and possibly allergies if a meal is requested. I like to design a menu based on what the participants will feel excited about. If I am planning weekly meals, I seek to understand how the family typically eats and what types of foods work well for each family member.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified nutritionist and personal chef with a background as an artist. I trained at the Nutrition Therapy Institute in Denver, CO and hold the title of Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner. I have led cooking demonstrations and prepared meals for small and large groups of people. I lead workshops on Food Energetics. I have been an artist my whole life and I specialized as a muralist for many years. I now combine my love for colors of paint and fabrics with my love of the color of fresh produce and plated foods.
