- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is negotiable if less hours are needed than the typical 9 hours of coverage for weddings. I also have a 10% discount for full payment at contract signing. I offer a 5% discount for teachers, military, law enforcement and first responders.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
After reaching out, customers usually have an email dialogue with me and/or phone call before signing. After that we stay in touch until the wedding if any planning or conversation is needed. About 6 weeks before the wedding I share a questionnaire for everything videography. After that we will confirm the final timing and sometimes meet in person before the wedding if convenient.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to film/documentary school in Washington D.C. The most training I have is from the job itself. I've learned how to be a great videographer from filming over 200 weddings. It's always a balancing act - having fun, staying on time, letting real moments unfold before the camera, staging a fun moment with a little direction.
