Hi, I’m Richard! I'm a pianist and music educator based in Brooklyn, NY. With 20 years of experience, I'm passionate about using the power of music to bring people together at events large and small. I perform solo jazz piano as well as playing keys with larger bands in funk and pop contexts. I teach piano and songwriting to students of all ages. Recognizing that every student is unique, I'll tailor a curriculum specifically to your musical goals. My teaching is centered around developing students’ creative expression through music while developing strong technique and a solid understanding of music theory.

Richard is a very punctual and a friendly individual. He was hired for my job's holiday party to play the piano, playing holiday carrols and he did an exceptional job. He came 15 minutes before his scheduled time and kept the crowd entertained. I would hire him again and recommend him to friends and family.

We had a great experience with Richard. We hired him for a Christmas Eve gathering and he arrived 20 mins ahead of start time and all communication was prompt, pleasant and smooth at all times. He played for 2 hours and we loved his talent so extended for a 3rd hour! We would definitley use him again in the future and highly recommended in the future! It was a real pleasure and memorable occasion for all!

Richard was very professional for my event. He came before his designated time, he is very punctual. He entertained my crowd non-stop with beautiful Christmas Carol songs. Exactly what we were looking for :) our CEO had a last-minute request for a pianist to be invited to our holiday party to play all of the favorite holiday classics on the piano. He even had a last song request for Richard and it was the peanuts - Linus and Lucy song to be played as that is his favorite song and Richard was able to do that. Thank you Richard, happy holidays!
