FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do offer discounts for students. Also, if you come with a friend or two or three to share studio time your price per individual will exponentially go down. This is similar to corporate group rates where the final price for each final retouched image is exponentially lower than a single person shoot.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I usually begin with a quick phone consultation where we talk about packages and what works best for the clients needs. Once the client has decided on the package that best fits their needs, we look at time and dates. The client then receives a seamless online pre-shoot experience where contracts and payments are quick and easy. I usually have a tailored pre-shoot consultation with the client to talk about hair, make-up and attire for the day of the shoot. Following the shoot the client will receive an easy to use online viewing platform to choose their images for retouch. Once the client has chosen the image(s) for retouch those retouched digital image(s) are delivered in both online and print format/size.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have lived in New York for 20 years working as a professional actor in the musical theater world, doing Broadway and Broadway touring productions. Both a love of photography and an understanding of the importance of a professional headshot lead to me to headshot photography.
