Christian Johnston is based in Brooklyn, NYC. Born in Manhattan and raised in Virginia, he is returning to his birthplace in 1989.
Christian has worked in various capacities in television and film production, as well as animation, before turning his sights on photography. He started his career in photography in 2003, when he has worked predominately as a contributing photographer for the New York Post, where he shoots feature stories.
Christian's work is syndicated through Splash and Polaris agencies. He has had many clients outside of the New York Post, from magazines to private clients. He received a grant from the Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) and sponsorship from New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA).
Christian has exhibited his personal work in galleries in NYC and Virginia. He has been a guest speaker at The New School in NYC and Crossing the Lines in Brooklyn.
