FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate includes the cost of the shoot, and online delivery of all photos from the shoot. You will be able to download full resolution images of any and all photos from your shoot directly from my online gallery. My studio rate includes the cost of shooting in studio. My regular base rate does not include any locations costs, and is best for shooting in an apartment, hotel, Airbnb, peerspace, etc. Those shoots do not include any hotel or location costs, so the total amount of the shoot will vary depending on the cost of the hotel or location chosen.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to have a consultation about what type and style of images you would like to get, what kind of look you have in mind, what wardrobe you're thinking of, how revealing or conservative you would like them to be, etc. Some people like to do this consultation over the phone, others prefer over email to make it easier to exchange images and send links.. whatever you are most comfortable with. If it seems helpful, we'll put together a mood board using an online folder or pinterest. Basically we'll pool some images together that we think will work well as inspiration for what you have in mind, whether it's of random images you've come across or stuff from my own site. These images don't have to be exactly the same as though you're trying to copy them or anything, but can just generally have a similar vibe and look to what you would like to get. Then we'll narrow them down into specific looks/poses/etc, and use that as inspiration for our shoot. From there we start talking about location.. sometimes I use a studio or creative space that is rented per hour, and sometimes there might be a certain hotel that I think would work best (especially if there is something like a bathtub involved), but it all depends on the kind of looks you have in mind. After that we setup the date and time, book the space, and then comes the easy and fun part.. the shoot!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
