James completed the job to my expectations, despite our initial misunderstanding of the scope of work. Seeing how James could have come to the misunderstanding, I offered to pay him for the work that he did complete. James refused and said, “I want the job done right.” He then proceeded to do what was necessary to finish the job. Others may have taken the easy route by accepting the money and not completing the job, but not James. James is a man of integrity, and I respect him for doing what was necessary to meet my expectation. As this was my first project on Thumbtack, I did learn that I should include more descriptions in my project. Also, Thumbtack should add an option to the Bush and Shrub removal projects to call out the removal of roots/trunk/stump as included in the project. I believe that having this option may have eliminated misunderstandings between Customer and Client.
