**Imperial Construction - A Deeply Disappointing Experience**
We hired **Imperial Construction** to handle what should have been fairly straightforward tasks: cabinet repair/paint, outdoor grill remodel/rebuild, and exterior house painting. Luciano, who was the **general contractor leading the project**, was responsible for overseeing the work. Unfortunately, the project extended **four weeks beyond the original timeline**, and the quality of the work left much to be desired.
To make matters worse, the workers were incredibly disrespectful to my wife, assuming she didn’t understand Spanish. When we questioned the poor quality, missed deadlines, and the clear gap between what was promised and delivered, Luciano gave us a dismissive response: “**good labor is hard to find**.”
Imperial Construction also provided a one-year guarantee on their work, but despite our numerous attempts to reach out, **we have yet to receive any follow-up**.
After giving up on trying to manage the project, things continued to deteriorate. Within weeks, the **stucco on the grill began to crumble**, the **power outlets failed**, and the **vents in the grill/bar area were improperly installed**. The cabinets were especially disappointing, with **paint running off the interiors** and **grainy surfaces**, likely because they had been left outside for too long. They also left **paint stains on the patio**, and when asked to cover them, they **mismatched the color** entirely.
The only part of the job done with decent quality was the exterior house painting, but that was subcontracted to another company, **not handled by Imperial Construction’s in-house team**.
In summary:
- **Poor quality work**: The stucco, electrical outlets, and cabinets were all subpar, showing clear signs of carelessness.
- **Lack of communication**: Luciano only appeared when we demanded his presence.
- **Disrespectful behavior**: The team was unprofessional and dismissive.
- **Unmet timelines**: The project dragged on, leaving our home in disarray for weeks.
- **Warranty ignored**: Despite the one-year guarantee, we’ve received no response to our attempts for service.
Now, as we prepare to sell our home, nearly every aspect Imperial Construction touched has appeared on the **inspection report as needing repair**. We’re left fixing these issues ourselves.
**I cannot recommend Imperial Construction’s services.** If you’re looking for professionalism, quality, or communication, you won’t find it here.
