Jon and John were punctual and very helpful. They did a good job plastering both ceilings in my house.
Iorio Plastering & Masonry

I canNOT recommend this company. I was told their “best” guy was coming. Pedro was very nice during the initial meeting. He told me that they would demo my ceilings, put up drywall and prime my walls.
They came to do the work. Their actual “work” portion – the drywall -- was ok – the drywall was put up. Wish that was all I had to say.
Unfortunately, that is the ONLY positive from this whole experience. They did NOT demo my broken ceiling – they simply covered it with the drywall even though I was charged with a demo of said ceilings – (I know they didn’t remove it because they left the trash in bags next to my house for me to put out on trash day and they weren’t heavy enough to have two ceilings’ worth of plaster). When I brought this up to the owner, he said he would "ask" them - I never heard back so I guess I paid for work that wasn't done.
However, that was the ONLY thing that got covered. There was plaster all over – my sink, brand new stove, cabinets, pictures on the wall, etc. NOTHING got covered. When they plastered the ceiling, they actually got plaster all over my walls (later, the installer told me that I should have taped the walls since they were working on the ceiling!!! First, they never mentioned ME having to do anything like that – he told me TWICE that it was pretty much MY fault that the walls, etc. had plaster on them.
I have a 40 year old aloe plant – they took down the curtain and curtain rod and just laid it on top of the plant. They didn’t cover my bookcases which line my wall and destroyed a book that I found on the floor covered in plaster.
They went to my basement (without asking me first if I had a sink down there) and left the light and water running when they left). They also left my back door wide open when they left - not unlocked but WIDE OPEN. I also asked them to please keep my front door closed as I have a squirrel who would just love to come inside. It didn’t matter HOW MANY TIMES I told them to keep it closed because they didn’t. (I even showed them video from my blink of the squirrel on the porch with the door open.)
It wasn’t until the owner came that they put down a tarp from my front door to kitchen/living room (they were working on both rooms simultaneously). They also decided at THAT point to cover my furniture, etc. Too little too late. They did it because he showed up.
David (the owner) couldn’t have been more apologetic. I tried to be understanding and work with him – at first.
David did have them paint my one dark wall that had plaster all over it. However, he did nothing for the other walls that had a 3-4” line of plaster (primer?) all around my dining room. The kitchen I didn't care as the cabinets/flooring is being replaced. So, he promised to at least get me paint so that I could repaint it myself or PAY for someone to do it (I’m 67!!!). He promised me the paint a week and a half before I actually got it. He told me he was going to be nearby and drop it off. I had kitchen contractors coming on 11/28 and needed to get the painting done that weekend!!! Another week passed and I told him that was my last weekend to paint. He told me (on the Friday) that if I wanted the paint, I could drive to Princeton to get it (on a Friday night when they close at 6 and I work until 5). I drove to Princeton and got the paint as it’s the least I deserve from this debacle. Now I need to find time to paint those walls.
They removed trim from around my cabinets and threw it in my yard. Good thing I went to move them as I discovered that they had large nails sticking out of them and I have a dog that obviously uses my yard. Didn’t realize about the nails until I tripped and accidentally stepped on one and it embedded itself in my sneaker. Thank God I had shoes on.
David was actually going to suspend one of the workers and I, foolishly, told him I didn’t want anyone to lose their jobs over this. (Fortunately, my neighbor came over and asked the worker for the name of the company – told him to drop information in her mailbox. He never did. So glad!!!)
If the owner tried to make it right, I could l say “ok, you can’t totally control what your workers do but you at least tried to make it right”. He used the right words but didn’t follow up with action. Instead he made me feel like I was bothering HIM by asking for the promised paint in a timely manner.
I don’t have a fancy house, but I am a paying customer and my home deserved at least “some” respect. (First day they got breakfast and lunch from me – that quickly became a “one and done”.)
Stay away from this company. I should have listened to the negative reviews and steered clear.
I have pictures to back this up if needed.
