Introduction
My name is Rick Welch, and I am a caricature artist in the New York City and New Jersey areas. I have been doing caricatures since 1989, and I travel throughout the NYC, NJ, and LI areas specializing in all types of parties such as birthday, bar or bat mitzvahs, communions, sweet sixteens, proms, school events, corporate, and holiday parties, to name a few.
Some of my past clients include Ikea, FOX NewsCorp., ZOOM Media, Morgan Stanley, AMBAC Financial Group, Duracell, Bloomberg L.P., WNBA/Discover, Sullivan and Cromwell, Pepsi/Tracy Locke Inc., WPXI Channel 11 News, and the Pittsburgh Steelers. I am currently a member of the ISCA (International Society of Caricature Artists).
My rates for caricatures are as follows:
• Black and white caricatures (1 person every 3-5 minutes) - $125 per hour with a 2-hour minimum
• Color caricatures (1 person every 6-9 minutes) - $150 per hour with a 2-hour minimum
All caricatures are done on 11" x 14" card stock with a preprinted border and are placed in a clear protective plastic bag.

Rick was great! He arrived early because the weather was bad, which I appreciated. He got to work right away and was fast and efficient with his time. Just about everyone was able to be drawn (some came too late). Everyone loved his work.

I'm sorry, I really have to leave a bad review, seems like a nice guy, but all the faces came out exactly the same, on top of that he didnt make it clear he had a 2 hour minimum until showing up, and when my party got shut down 20 minutes in, he didnt seem to mind walking away with my $200.

We had an agreement that I was to work for 2 hours, and I always state that I have a two hour minimum for all events. I was willing to work the 2 hours. You were holding an illegal party in an abandoned building. When your party was raided by the police, I had no choice to stop working. I requested the full payment, as that was what we agreed on. As for all the faces looking the same, the people I drew didn't feel that way, and were enjoying what I was providing.
