Jani is a talented photographer for street style and fashion. He seemed to have good overall reviews with a positive review for someone who also used him for an engagement. I bookes Jani for an hour session for my proposal but unfortunately the results were less than ideal. In all, he was only with us for about 20 minutes (timestamps confirm) even though we paid for an hour. We had trouble understanding his ultimate vision for the shoot since he gave us little direction on how to pose. Unfortunately it had rained before our proposal, and when we received our photos, he said he had trouble editing our raw pictures due to the weather having been cloudy with uneven lighting. Finally, we were promised 30 edited photos but only received 23 mostly discolored photos. I reached out to Jani, and he did offer to redo our shoot given the circumstances, but unfortunately we do not live in New York. Research your photographer’s aesthetic prior to picking, and/or consider having some sample photos in mind to show him or use as a guidepost if using him for a life event shoot.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Depending on a style my pricing varies. But a starting price is $100 an hour. I don’t charge extra for traveling to a customer and make discounts for longer photography sessions
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually I try to build a friendly conversation where I learn more about a person and what they want to achieve by working with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took several workshops, classes in the areas of studio photography, lighting and retouching
