Patched two small areas of drywall and hung up a cabinet over the laundry area. The team on-site was friendly, helpful, did great work, and cleaned up decent enough afterwards. Ariel, the field manager, was more difficult to work with. I asked for an estimate and we set a time the next day for him to come take a look. When he arrived, he said his guys were ready to come in and get set up to do the work. I reiterated I only wanted an estimate. He came in about 70% higher than other estimates I had received so I paid the estimate fee of $50 and planned to continue on my search. About 5 minutes later he came back and asked what I would be willing to pay since they were onsite and his guys needed the work. I told him $550-$600 was in the range I had received from other contractors and he agreed, saying he wouldn’t be making any money but he needed to pay his guys for the day. He came back about midway though and said it’d be an extra $50 for materials, which I agreed to even though I supplied the wood, cabinet, and wall paint needed. I assume this was for a quarter sheet of drywall, ceiling paint for a 3x4 area, and screws/washers. They did a good job with the drywall patching and cabinet hang, but the paint was a little splotchy and lacked detail on the edges. After showing Ariel my concerns over FaceTime, as he was not on-site, and some back and forth, he had his guys do some touch up. He was a bit dismissive, changed the price, and was overall not easy to work with. I likely wouldn’t reach out again for future work, although the final product is satisfactory.

The service and quality was excellent. But, I believe that charging us $500 for a ceiling repair was inflated a bit. Others told me that type of a repair is usually less than $400. Oh well, it was repaired in one day, so okay.
