Working with Shawn during the purchase of my home was both a reassuring and rewarding experience. From start to finish Shawn worked diligently to ensure I gained access to or received every seller's credit or discount available. His extensive knowledge and proactive nature was very instrumental in the finding a property and negotiating a purchase price that was best suited for me and my needs. Working with Shawn is AMAZING! He’s talented, personable, and a great listener. We purchased a 1977 townhouse that looked like the 80s moved in and never left. There was wallpaper everywhere, a kitchen in a dark corner of the house, and a master bathroom that lacked form and function. Shawn made recommendations that enhanced the layout of our home and helped create spaces we adore. He can look at a floorplan, imagine it without walls, then redraw the walls to their best advantage. He also made decor suggestions that were highly functional and incredibly beautiful. The attached photo is of our new kitchen, formerly the dining room. Shawn recommended the dining room to kitchen switch, including widening the opening and cabinet layout. He encouraged us to look beyond quartz and check out Quartzite (a natural alternative with heat tolerance), recommended new framing to turn a troublesome window into a feature, chose the backsplash, and recommended the graceful barstools with backs that add beautiful interest to the space. The stools also offer sturdy bases, full backs, and subtle sides making it safe for even my toddler to take a seat at the bar. Hire him. If he makes a recommendation you hate, tell him and he’ll come up with something else. If you’re on the fence, trust him. He has vision and exceptionally good taste. You will love it when it's done.

It was extremely important for my husband and I to find someone who understood our style and what we were looking for although we had no way of explaining it other than saying, "We just want it took look nice and have a wow factor to it." Believe me, We've said that to plenty but no one could grasp what we were trying to say. Shawn has skills and talent that not many designs have. Let me not forget to mention patience. I couldn't explain my style to him, I just know when I see it if I like it and I get overwhelmed by too many options. Previous designer I've dealt with in the past had a certain style which served no purpose to me at all because it wasn't mine. However, the moment Shawn walked in and after a few moments his super powers kicked it and he got to work. He was skilled in asking the right questions to determine our style. Once he had the idea he knew how to present enough options without being too overwhelming. He understands aesthetics. Delivery was on point and everything he designed and recommended 100% matched our style. He's very knowledgeable and well connected. He thinks outside the box and explained materials, fabrics and lighting to my husband and I and how they work in a way we've never imagine. We had no idea about up lighting and why this material will compliant that fabric and this wall color goes with that color or this wall paper needs that kind of lighting. He explained the why behind certain concepts which was helpful to my husband who is very analytical. Absolutely talented and the outcome of our project left us speechless. He told us to trust him, which we did and he exceeded our expectations and did it all within budget. He was respectful of both opinions and styles and able to come up with options and designs that was the perfect blend of both our taste. Every fixture, all furniture pieces, wall covering and even the accessories he's chosen are absolutely amazing. It looks as if we spent a fortune but he stayed within budget. He had access and knew where to find all of our furniture, upholstery and wall paper. I wanted a white piece of furniture but I have little ones. Shawn, made my dream come true and was able to find the furniture also with kid proof fabric. Now, I have that look I wanted and not be afraid of my kids destroying it. He knows his product and I can honestly say he has perfected his craft. When we come home it feels like we live in one of the homes from HGTV.
