Thank you for your feedback. We take customer concerns seriously and always strive to provide high-quality service. However, I would like to clarify some points about this project and ensure that our future clients understand more of this unfortunate situation. Throughout the interactions with this customer, we became suspicious of fraud. We encountered issues with their payment, including a bounced check. They reassured us that it would be reconciled, so we continued to work with the customers and accommodate their additional requests. After this, the customer began aggressively demanding that we finish the remaining work immediately, even though we had already addressed the scope of the original contract without payment and were moving on to work that was requested after the original contract. In addition, after completing the job and receiving confirmation during the final walk-through that everything was in order, the customer changed their stance, refused to pay the remaining balance and would not allow us to return (not even to retrieve our supplies), leaving us no opportunity to address any remaining concerns. We have reported this situation to Thumbtack, as we believe the customer’s actions were aimed at scamming us from the beginning. We worked hard on this project for about 8 days and were not paid thousands of dollars. We regret that the situation ended this way, but we are proud of the quality of work we provided, and we always aim to ensure our customers are satisfied with the final result.
