I recently hired Jim and his team to install paneling on my kitchen island and the results are absolutely stunning! Jim is amazing at what he does. I needed a handyman for a variety of odd jobs, including sanding, mounting a TV, and installing ceiling hooks for a clothing project (see attached photo). Jim and his crew were outstanding! Jim came out to give me an estimate after a mosquito repellent product caused a fire in a flower bed on my deck. The damage was substantial but was difficult to fully assess because it actually began with smoke that was buried below the surface of the dirt. Since the damage was caused by a product that I had purchased who ultimately assumed liability for the damage, I needed a very thorough and accurate assessment of the damage and what it would take to repair it Jim came within four hours of my first phone call to assess the situation and to give me an estimate of what it would take to restore it to. It’s original state . He was pleasant, courteous, kind, and reassuring, given how scary the situation had been. He not only wanted to repair the damage to the deck caused by the fire but also looked at things that he could do that would the flower bed make look more professional and aesthetically pleasing. In other words, he went above and beyond what any contractor would do. He clearly cares about the quality of his work and cares about the people he works for. I am very grateful to have found Jim and to have had his help. His crew reflected both his attitude and his work ethic. They were punctual, professional, detail-oriented and definitely took pride in their work. They also went above and beyond in many small ways and in a few larger ways. I couldn’t be happier and would highly recommend them to anyone who is having any sort of carpentry project done. In fact, I was so impressed that I have asked them to come look at some other projects that I have been putting off inside my home.( As soon as the stain has fully dried on the wood, I will post a before and after photo. I guarantee that you will be impressed!!)

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I really need to see the project in order to give an exact price. My rate ranges from $20 to $40 per hour depending on the complexity of the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with them to see what they are looking to do. Then I give them additional ideas if requested. I alway want to have a clear process of what will be the steps I will follow to completing the work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years experience in construction and have my construction supervisor license.
