Jimmy and his crew did a phenomenal job transforming my vision for this formal dining room into reality! The whole project took less than a week to complete. I had trim work done (picture frame molding and chair rail) and had the entire room painted. The attention to detail was outstanding, and I am so happy with this project. Will definitely be reaching out again for future projects!

Jim is amazing at what he does. I needed a handyman for a variety of odd jobs, including sanding, mounting a TV, and installing ceiling hooks for a clothing project (see attached photo). My grandmother has wanted a new deck for the past decade, and Jim’s crew fulfilled that dream beyond our expectations; I haven’t seen her this happy in years haha. I have used Thumbtacks for many projects at my house. All of them have gone well but none of them went as well as my deck extension project working with Jim Amara at Jim’s Carpentry! The crew that Jim brought to the project were straight pros! They came when they said they would, they responded immediately to my messages, they worked until the deck was done over a couple of days. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I really need to see the project in order to give an exact price. My rate ranges from $20 to $40 per hour depending on the complexity of the work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with them to see what they are looking to do. Then I give them additional ideas if requested. I alway want to have a clear process of what will be the steps I will follow to completing the work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years experience in construction and have my construction supervisor license.
