- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
1st Step Moving & Delivery has very simple pricing guidelines. We offer a flat fee. The fee is calculated after a site consultation (in person or virtually). The fee includes location(s) of the move, contents of the move and anything else that is needed. We also provide hourly rates. Each move is different, therefore, we will work with our customers to ensure the option that works best for them.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to begin our experience with a site consultation. This is where we visit the home to discuss the move and see the contents of the move. During the consultation, customers share any concerns and questions they have about the move. The price for the move is determined and if the customer is satisfied, the move is tentatively placed on the calendar. An invoice is sent with the information from the site consultation. Upon receipt of the invoice, a deposit will be required. This confirms the move on the calendar.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
The staff of 1st Step Moving & Delivery have over 15 years moving experience. Staff frequently engage in learning best practices and current trends in the moving profession. We are part of professional and community moving groups in which we share ideas and learn from our colleagues in the moving business.
