All Elite Construction is a DELIGHT to work with. Owner and his brother are true craftsman and not afraid to work with high-end materials. They installed the most beautiful herringbone paver front porch for us, and we were so thrilled we had them do new hardwoods throughout the house. They just get things DONE without trying to talk you out of what you really want because it will mean more work for them (we had many other contractors do this while we were getting quotes, and one contractor quit in the middle of another project). We really felt so lucky to have found them, and I never thought I’d say that about a contractor! Ha! Any quality issues were spotted by the owner before I ever had to say anything or have awkward conversations. We truly just feel taken care of by them. Really good people. Top notch quality—we didn’t have to micromanage, things were just done the right way. All you can ask for in a contractor.

I recently hired [Company Name] to convert my garage into a room, and I was very pleased with the final result. The job was completed on time, and the room turned out terrific – exactly what I had envisioned. The crew did a good job with the construction and design, and I appreciate their efforts in bringing this project to life.
However, after receiving the final payment, the company did not finish cleaning up as expected. There were construction materials left leaning against the house, including cords and pieces of the old garage door mechanism. In addition, trash and small construction debris were left in both our yard and our neighbor’s yard, which was frustrating to deal with.
I made several attempts to contact the contractor, and they initially agreed to return to pick up the remaining materials and address a few minor issues. These included fixing a small amount of damage to our floors caused by tape and touching up a small section of the ceiling that was missed during painting. Unfortunately, after these initial assurances, the contractor became unresponsive, and despite promises to resolve these matters, we are still waiting – over a month later – for the cleanup and repairs to be completed.
While the work itself was great, I am disappointed with the lack of follow-through and poor communication after payment was made. I hope that the company can address these issues and provide the finishing touches they promised.

Jeff has been great from the beginning. After a horrible experience with another general contractor, Jeff was there to help us. Not only did he offer his advice on what he thought we should do, he made us feel more knowledgeable about the renovation and construction process. Jeff’s work is impeccable and he knows what he is doing. We will definitely be using Jeff in the future, hopefully on our dream home we plan to build.

My house caught fire in April of 2021, and that night I was in an extended stay hotel with my two dogs. From there, we relocated to an apartment. I have to relocate for a third time because Monseh Blanks of All Elite Construction LLC in Charlotte, N.C., walked away with $37,000 of the money to start rebuilding my house. Our contract said that the first draft was to buy the roof, HVAC, electrical, and the plumbing. I hired him in October 2021 and fired him in November 2021 and he walked away with $37,000 without doing any work at all.
I found All Elite on Thumbtack, and it had five-star reviews and no bad reviews on BBB or YELP. Monseh Blanks has a lot of nice pictures of all the work he has done. Not long after I gave him the check, his attitude changed, and he stopped communicating with me. He finally called me back to tell me he had gotten my shingles. I asked him how did he know what color or type I had wanted, and he said,
"You want to pick out your shingles?
He told me that I didn't have to be there when he was working on my house and that most people leave and don't come back until he's finished.
He wanted to replace the knotty pine, custom-built hardwood kitchen cabinets with cabinets in the back of HomeDepot. He said his HVAC man was going to build my HVAC system. I had Rheems. Then he sent me an email saying that my insurance company told him not to listen to me and my outrageous upgrade.
He went on in the email to berate me for being a difficult client and that he would allow me to pick out the color shingles I wanted, but everything else would be up to him and my insurance company. I learned that I was his first biggest job and his first insurance job.
(I believe he lost his mind when he got that amount of money and now he has no intention of making things right by giving it back.)
I told him this was not working out and, let's call it, quits before any work got done. I didn't trust him, and I went by my house, and sure enough, he was up on my roof tearing off shingles. When I asked him to come down, he refused. I told him I no longer wanted him working on my house, and he ignored me.
I texted and emailed him that he was fired. I asked him to return the money I had given him to buy the building materials. I went to court to get a stop order. The judge told me if he came back to the house to call the police.
He came back, and I called the police.
Monseh Blanks of All Elite Construction never gave back the money. He took all of it and emailed a receipt charging $31,000 for fees and subcontractor fees. They did no work in the house at all. He never bought any materials, no Roof, no HVAC, no Electrical, no Plumbing. He walked away with $37,000 as if he earned it.
To add insult to injury, he left a rented Porta-Potty and all the shingles and building material he scraped off the roof all over the front lawn. It is still there right now, in March of 2022.
I went to every agency I could think of and those recommended. I filed complaints at N.C. Contractors Board, the Attorney General's Office, the Local District Attorney's Office, Consumer Protection Agency, the Bank, the Contractor Recovery Fund or Homeowner's Recovery Fund, the local Councilman, and the Mayor's office. No one could help me.
I called the Porta-Potty company several times, and they ignored me. I called 311 for help with the Porta-Potty and building material, and they couldn't help me.
Now, I'm calling out for help on Social Media because I don't know what else to do. The trauma of the fire was rough, but I can't find the words to describe how it feels dealing with a bad contractor. Please tell Monseh Blanks to give back the money.
UPDATE:
Mar 10 2022
My family finally got the company to remove the Porta-Potty that Blanks left there after I asked him several times to take it off of my property. It was there from November 2021. What kind of person does this let alone a contractor?
Below is more pictures of the house and the building trash from the roof patch that Blanks charge me $31,000 but walked away with $37,000. Who does this to a 65-year-old woman whose house burned down? I lost everything in the house and now Monseh Blanks owner of All Elite Construction LLC has taken the money to start rebuilding the house.
