Bernie L. says, "Jaime referred me to a teacher on her team, and I had a good trial lesson with Emily. We then decided to schedule a 1st lesson 2 weeks later and put it on Google Meet (it was a remote lesson). When the time came, I waited 15 min on the Google Meet and the teacher never showed up. I sent an email and 4 days later I still haven't heard back. I also can no longer reach out to Jaime via the message thread we have on Thumbtack nor send her a message as a "new client". Not sure what happened, but the experience overall was not good. Jaime was very helpful and responsive and reached out to address the issue, and combine that with the good trial lesson, I'm ok with raising the review to 4 out of 5 stars (on my own volition). Thanks again Jaime!"See more

What really sets him apart as a teacher, however, is his ability to break down extremely complex musical ideas into manageable pieces. Izzy does not overwhelm you with theory or technique; he blends the two together seamlessly. The moment that you get some sick riffs under your fingers, you realize you've also learned where the notes live on the guitar. Even as an adult learner, I feel confident progressing with him because he creates a learning environment where improvement feels achievable and exciting. As I am approaching my 40th birthday I deceided to step outside of my box & try new things in life. My children are grown, so that leaves me with more time to take up a hobby. So, I deceided to look up guitar lessons. I've fiddled around with an accoustic a little bit, but I really wanted to learn more. So, when I found Dustin & his willingness to teach this old girl a new trick or two. I received many quotes from different teachers, but I didn't think they would be a good fit for me. I was scared in the begging just the thought of not being able, but quickly he made me feel very comfortable. The best thing about my new teacher is his patience with me & not treating me like a child and teaching me the kind of music I'm interested in. He asked me on day 1 my interest in music that I wanted to learn & each lesson he's covered them. I could not be more pleased with my lessons. I defiantly give Dustin two thumbs up & I would refer him to anyone.
