FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our first meeting is a no-strings-attached, getting to know one another session. My goals are: Finding out what a student’s goals are, and whether online learning is for them. And we’ll also answer the all important question, “Are we a good fit for one another?!” Once we’ve determined these, we’ll set up the times/days for subsequent sessions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Bluegrass rhythm guitar, and performance, with Bluegrass diehard Vernon McIntyre from 2006-2016. In 2011, I began ongoing voice lessons with Hal Thomas, a trained vocalist with 40 + years experience in voice coaching and music direction. In 2010, My wife and I formed the Cincinnati based, Bluegrass inspired band P’s in a Pod, and we’ve been performing live gigs ever since.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
In 2018 I become a guitar instructor for our local Guitars 4 Vets chapter and fell in love with the process! At G4V we provide 10 beginner guitar lessons to eligible veterans, free of charge. Each veteran who successfully completes the course receives a brand new acoustic guitar, also free of charge. It’s an awesome mission, and now I want to bring my style of teaching to adult learners who are motivated to grow!
