Marisa did a wonderful job planning my wedding. It was a complete stress free planning experience, and our guests and us all loved our wedding! She was organized, responsive, creative and had excellent attention to details. She's full of ideas and also consciously looking for ways to save costs for us. She took charge of our lantern and flower centerpieces and we were thrilled with the results at a very reasonable price. She's the reason we could sit back, relax and enjoy our big day, as she and her assistant took care of everything on the day of. We are grateful to have Marisa with us throughout the process and would highly recommend her!

Marisa did a amazing job Doing alterations on my wedding down! I cannot tell you how happy and impressed I am with the results!! I needed cups put in my wedding gown as well as a Bustle in the back to hold up the train . My wedding gown had a lot of detail Lace and layers Which I thought for sure would be a hard job to do , Not for Marisa She absolutely nailed it She did a amazing and beautiful job with my dress My family will definitely be using her for years to come for any special occasion thanks Marisa - Jessica from up state NY may 2 2014 wedding !

I just want to thank Marisa for doing such an amazing job in altering my wedding dress for my big day on the 15th. It was a complicated dress with built-in corset and so many layers. She definitely had shown her professional skills in altering the dress. More importantly, her rate is very reasonable. I feel very lucky to be able to find her as my seamstress :)

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been sewing for over 40 years. I've done custom bridal gowns, costumes for theatre and ballet, alterations, gown re-styling, and just about anything you can think of.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
For gown alterations or re-styling, look for someone with experience who has worked on fine couture clothing or wedding gowns before and knows what they are doing. A mistake can not only be costly, but cause great disappointment. For event professionals, is there a lot of "I don't do that?" Does the person understand your vision and all the important components?
