FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My base fee for a wedding is $100 with the ceremony I provide. Customizing the ceremony to fit exactly your ideas is an additional $25, and facilitating/attending the rehearsal ranges $25-$50, and travel can cost an additional $50-$150 depending on how far from Columbia/Fulton/Jefferson City area I have to travel. I offer pre-wedding consultation and counseling sessions as well; contact me for details and pricing! I do not usually book weddings more than 6 months out, so if you're planning far in advance, feel free to contact me closer to the day!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My new-customer process is as varied as my customer! Some people just need an officiant to show up, ready to perform a marriage, others would prefer to meet virtually in advance and carefully craft exactly the service they desire. I'm flexible, depending on the needs and the situation, but I always strive to be easy to work with, prompt in my communication, and fully invested in your needs.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm an ecumentical minister, serving primarily in the field of spiritual direction, and have completed the training program of Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation, Washington, DC. I'm also a certified, licensed American Sign Language interpreter, which means I'm able to perform a wedding in either ASL or English, or a combination.
