FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I have a minimum 2 hour trip charge on most on-site projects and on-site service calls. Remote Service Calls are only charged per hour.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to discuss the project with the customer in person or on the phone, especially for some bigger projects like wiring your house or business, security cameras, home theaters, etc. Once I have a solid idea of what the customer wants I put together a quote/estimate for the project and send it over to the client and we set the date for installation or if it involves buying equipment I let them know when we have everything in hand for the project and then we schedule a start date. For smaller projects, like TV mounting or running 1 new coaxial line for internet, it typically is a few questions through the Thumbtack app and deciding on what time and date works best for everybody.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I went to college for Audio Production and Engineering in Minneapolis, MN and once out of college I worked at a few different recording studios in town and eventually got into the Audio/Visual Installation Industry with a company that sent me around the country installing and wiring up Buffalo Wild Wing Restaurants, Trampoline Parks, Planet Fitness, Lifetime Fitness, etc. I then moved on to an Twin Cities based company that had me in charge of the installations of A/V Systems in new multi-million dollar apartment buildings.
