- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard fee is $1,000 plus travel (if more than two hours from North Branch, Minnesota). If the wedding involves a flight, then the cost is $2,000 plus all travel costs. In certain situations, the price may be higher or lower depending on location, date of wedding, and speaking demand.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once booked, a $200 deposit is required to hold the date. Then some initial questions will be sent about the wedding. As we get closer to the date, we will have a Zoom meeting to clarify anything and then spend time hearing your story about how you met, your life together, what you enjoy, etc. I will also support you in developing your service order and elements. I do not normally attend rehearsals, but if possible, I can be available by FaceTime during any rehearsal. I will arrive early for the wedding to make sure everything is ready to go, and then deliver a wonderful service before signing the marriage license.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a professional speaker who does weddings on the side, frankly because I love doing them. I was licensed years ago, but have kept it current and typically do 10-15 weddings per year.
