- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Once I have a better understanding of the size and complexity of your project I will give you a quote for total price with explanation of everything it would, or wouldn't include. Then your contract is structured in payments with min. 25% down, then partial payment on completion of as built model and initial plan, then partial payment when final floor plan and exterior look is completed, and final payment when bid plans are completed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will come to your home for a free consultation about your project. We will discuss options about your project and I'll explain what I would do for your project. Once I understand your project I'll give you a flat fee for design and plan work. If you want to get started I'll draw up a contract that explains exactly what you will get. Then I start by measuring and photographing your part of your home that will be remodeled. Using that info I'll create as built model of your home. Then I will create an initial plan based on what we discussed. Then we will review that initial plan and make adjustments until we get to a final floor plan. Then I will make a final building plans that you can give to contractors for pricing.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the residential remodeling business all of my life. I was a licensed contractor for 20+ years. I sold for other companies as well. I bought old baet up homes and transformed them into amazing new homes. The last 7 years I have just been drawing plans for homeowners and contractors. I have a long history of creative design and plan work with many referrals. I am extremely knowledgeable in using Chief Architect software for creating beautiful exciting designs that you can see with all your personal selections before you build it.
