FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I was educated under a holistic model that prizes utilizing all available information to create unique, comprehensive solutions for complex problems. My process for new customers will always start with a site survey and interview with the customer. This will ensure I understand not only your wants and needs, but the true feasibility in your landscape. I need to understand the existing conditions of your landscape or plants to be able to give accurate and reliable recommendations for our next steps in building a plan together. This personal and detailed approach allows me to provide excellent service and satisfying solutions every time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Arts in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic. In college, I studied landscape design, gardening principles, botany, the art of pruning, apiculture, and agriculture. I have worked two seasons on small organic farms in Michigan and Colorado. I started gardening as a girl, but my first large project was installing and maintaining a 600 sq ft community vegetable garden with 7 raised beds on my high school campus.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started gardening as a child to bring fresh fruits and vegetables into my family's home. Ever since I have worked to develop my skills as a gardener with dreams of becoming a landscape architect.
