FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I don't have a standard because every shoot is different. I would like to discuss details first, then quote a fee. I won't always be the cheapest, but I am always striving to be the best. And...."Best" is worth more to all of us. I can shoot quickly and basic with high quality per specs, or when given a reasonable budget I can create magic. I travel quite a lot and sometime there are some added costs OR sometimes I can locate other gigs at "distance" shoots and able to keep my pricing within budgets. We commit a great deal of time (years) in training, money in gear (thousands) and commit our artistry to create the image that represents you in the best light. Some people think of only price. Price is important, but consider expanding your budget some to get the Best images done by the better artists.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to discuss in detail what my clients need. How much input they want and I will create a plan for us to follow. Setting expectations clearly. Then we can move forward and enjoy the shoot with little stress. I also communicate each step in the process, from arriving to the completion and then delivering expectations.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was personally mentored for over 3 years by Jerry Howell a former (1960's) NYU Photography Instructor in Still and Cinematography. I have been shooting for years but got seriously committed to it 2007.
