FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A photo session is usually a bit more than just standing in front of the camera. When I work with a new customer (and even repeat customers) I ask questions about what they want to portray and express in the photos. We discuss intent beyond just headshot or maternity style. So, in essence, the work begins right away, not just when we meet at location. I find this helps the customer relax and prepare for the shoot, which eases the nerves when they steps in front of the camera.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have worked with models and actors, and I've worked with people who've never done a shoot before. I find satisfaction with both, but I do enjoy helping someone through their first ever shoot.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
Think about intent of the project. What do you want to express with the photos? Beyond just family photos, what about your family is special? Pictures are more than just documenting your face, it's capturing a moment and time in your life, so that's part of the discussion before and during the shoot.
