- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began my photography journey in high school (many years ago), I took photos for the school paper. Since then I transitioned to DSLR photography with amateur wildlife photography and as the main focus of pursuing my Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts from Ivy Tech in Lafayette, Indiana in 2007. After that I began wildlife and nature photography in earnest and began selling framed prints of my work by setting up booths at local events. Soon I was being contacted to sell prints from my website and then contracted for specific nature/wildlife photography. I was featured in Indiana Outdoor magazine for my photography of lightning bugs. I was also featured by the Indianapolis Zoo for photos of an elephant and a macaque. From there I officially started Daniel Lima Photography in 2018 and things have been great!
