Julia was such a good chef for a bachlorette party! She came prepared with a plan and was ready to work. She is extremely flexible- the power went out right as she started cooking she was quick with problem solved and moved the cooking onto the stove and it worked beautifully. Julia came in with a smile on her face and loved the challenge of creating her food in the dark!

Julia was wonderful to work with and create a menu for our small party of ten. I loved her enthusiasm and passion in creating the menu with us to make sure the flavors were balanced. The menu and items she prepared were AMAZING. She even prepared a separate plate for those with food sensitivity. She served everyone and cleaned my kitchen afterward. Even put the extras I. My Tupperware. She was personal and professional, responsive and punctual. I would definitely use her again. I would give her 5+ stars. Appetizers were hot ricotta dip and Greek layer dip with pita crackers and pita bread. The main course was chicken breast stuffed with ricotta, spinach and prosciutto with a mushroom demi glaze. Mixed root vegetables (Brussels sprouts, carrots, parsnips). Mashed potatoes (3/4) and butternut squash (1/4) mix. SO. GOOD.

Chef Julia is amazing! We reached out to her because we were tired of Doordashing while on parental leave. Chef Julia took on menu planning, grocery shopping, and cooking delicious, nutritious meals for us. We're so grateful that she gave us time back to spend with our new little one!

    Hiring me as your Personal Chef? I’ll take the time to understand your needs. With a focus on nutrition, I can modify any recipe for a specific diet or simply be “healthy”. I can also go full tilt and cook to impress, cutting no corners, while providing the most indulgent and pleasurable experience. We can conquer anything, but my specialties are authentic Mexican, Asian and Indian cuisines - I love to cook food that sings! As your personal chef, I will meet with you to learn your tastes and dietary preferences to create a fully customized menu. I will shop for groceries and prepare the meals in your home. I will be responsible for safe packaging, labeling, and storage of prepared items in your fridge or freezer, and putting away all ingredients.   • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    Hi, I’m Julia Bertocci. I love to cook. There’s no greater pleasure than making food for the ones we love. This has been my passion for as long as I can remember. I come from a long line of amazing Italian cooks who cared about fresh ingredients, taste and healthy eating. I remember sitting in my mother’s kitchen and watching everything she did. There were no recipes—ingredients were added until it was “just right”. I love teaching. It began when friends would call for tips and advice. I started teaching officially about ten years ago in conjunction with my personal chef services. I very much believe in the “teach a person how to fish” philosophy.
