Hi I'm Jo, the owner of Orange Float! We specialize in photography, video production, weddings, and design. For 10 years we've been telling stories and serving Indiana, the Midwest, and beyond. I believe that photographers and videographers should work hard to serve our clients as best as we can and make each project better than our last. My favorite thing is filming and photographing couples and weddings! I love meeting new couples, hearing their love story, and capturing those memories for the years to come. I'm professionally trained and I care about you! We hired Jo to do both our photography and videography for our wedding in May, and we could not be more happy with the amazing photos we received as well as the best wedding video I could have ever dreamed of. Jo is extremely professional and knowledgeable but also so fun and comfortable to work with throughout the whole process. He truly cares about delivering high-end quality with his work, but he also cared about our experience as well. One of our favorite parts of the videography process was the interview session we did a few weeks before our wedding. We just got to relax and have fun together and share our story while Jo interviewed and recorded us. What we love so so much is that when we watch this video and share it with our kids in the future, we will get to both experience all of the feelings and memories of our wedding day and also (maybe even more precious to us) all of the twists and turns that brought us to that moment. Jo is a master at storytelling, and working with him was incredible! He even secretly got my husband and I to record us singing the same song separately and he mixed it together and added it to the end of our video. His audio work is top-notch! You could not pick a better photographer or videographer to work with if you are looking not just for someone to capture the beauty of your wedding day but also someone who cares about telling the story of your relationship. We will truly treasure these pictures and our wedding video forever and we can’t wait to pull it out every year to reminisce on that day but also remember the commitment we made and our love for one another that Jo so beautifully captured!

My fiancé and I had such a GREAT experience with Jo for our engagement session! I was a bit worried because it was a last-minute booking on my part, but there was no need to worry at all! He was excellent with communication and got back to me extremely quickly. He took the time to talk to me and get to know me, my fiancé , and a little background before the pictures. He had great ideas for the pictures and incorporated our ideas perfectly. Additionally, he was so informative and we plan on following up even more to get more information to move forward. Everything was very seamless and straightforward and he was very flexible and worked so well with us. My fiancé, who hates getting pictures, had a great time and even commented on how great it was! I've been beyond excited since the time of booking; I can't wait to see our pictures!

Wonderful experience! Highly recommend to anyone needing photos for their event, special occasion, etc. I found Joe on Thumbtack, and it was an amazing experience from the very first response he sent me. Joe totally delivered when he showed up early, took beautiful photos of our Holiday Party, was so sweet in person to work with, and then delivered the photos ahead of time! My wife and I hired Orange Float to do the videography for our wedding and we were thrilled with it! Jo and his team did an amazing job with the videos and were able to capture so much footage of the day! What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in film production from Indiana University and 11 years of experience in video production, editing, photography, web design, and graphic design. My team and I have worked for businesses around the country, churches, non-profit organizations, and individuals. For 7 years I handled nearly all the photography and videography for a college church of 250 members. I’ve filmed dozens of weddings across the country.
