- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I recently received my Food Handler Certificate and my Basset alcohol certificate from the Illinois liquor and control center.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I am a teacher during the school year and I started working for an event planner on the weekends working parties. I enjoyed it so much and wanted to work more parties, so I decided to try it on a smaller scale on my own.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common jobs are setting up the buffet, making sure the food is always replenished, clearing the food, and packing it up in Tupperware and putting it away for leftovers. After the food is put away, the clearing of the dirty plates and washing the dishes so the kitchen is clean before I leave. Other jobs require making and serving drinks to the guests walking around with appetizers etc. Really whatever the client needs me to do, I do!
