FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We really like to meet with the couple. I think meeting is the best way to get comfortable with each other prior to working together. We also love to do an engagement session. This helps the couple get comfortable in front of my lens. An engagement session is usually very relaxed and it helps to know that you have one successful session under your belt on the wedding day which ... can be more pressure for the couples who don't do an engagement session. Either way, its all about the wedding day. We start early and work late. We work hard to capture your day and to help make it go smoothly. We know how to lay back and let the day happen as well as directing parts of the day that need more direction.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been enjoying photography since the early 80's. It seems that the deeper you get into photography, the more people become interested in having you share your work with them. I started doing weddings at the request of friends and family over a decade ago. I realized that I really enjoyed photographing weddings. I have been on this wedding photography journey ever since.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My favorite project is always the project that I am currently working on. Most weddings are long days and when I leave, I'm so excited to go home and check out all the beautiful images of the day. These are my babies that I work with for the next few weeks and when they are ready to be presented to the couple, I'm like a proud parent. Then its off to the next blank canvas.
