Geoff is great to work with, especially for someone like me who really didn't have much knowledge of what a kitchen and bath remodel involved. He is very hands on, however, his team had a few places where details were missed. I also noted my furniture was not covered during the drywall work, so there was a considerable dust problem which to Geoff's credit, he worked hard to clean up. The kitchen and baths look great, which is the main thing. This would have easily been 5 stars has all the other details been handled without my asking.

Geoff and his team from Benchmark did an outstanding job start to finish. Geoff, who has a degree in Architecture, began the planning of the rebuilt structure with me that included new features to preserve and strengthen it. Among the new features were the addition of concrete wings under the walkway and a drainage system to siphon water away. He did everything from the drafting of the plans for the village, demolition, construction of both cement and brick work to the final touch, brick columns to accent the building with decorative flower urns. You would not believe how wonderful the front of the building looks today. Our Maintance Person who is a licensed carpenter himself could not believe the high quality of the work that was done through out the entire process. Geoff even saved me money by preserving and reinstalling an iron railing. I can't tell you enough about this company and I have been in the landlording business and dealt with many contractors over 45 years.

Benchmark Design/Remodel did my bathroom remodel. This was a complete gut to the studs project and I am thrilled with the results. Geoff, the owner, was outstanding to work with- he has great ideas, started the project on time, is very responsive and his workmanship is excellent. I feel like I hit the lottery with this company as I interviewed over a dozen contractors and got stood up multiple times on my project. The cost was very competitive and the value was unquestionable based on the beautiful bathroom I now have. Save yourself time, angst and energy and work with this guy- you won't be disappointed.

BenchMark, Design, Build, Remodel Is and incredible company! We have found their service and knowledge second to none. Geoff, the owner, is a hands on owner. He answered all of our questions and was on hand throughout our project, not like some company we have dealt with. Geoff is a stickler to detail and his craftsmanship was amazing! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
In remodeling nearly all projects are unique and we address them as such.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a great majority of our projects, meeting with our customers to go over their ideas from the very beginning yield the best results. Once we have some direction we can begin our preliminary designs and compose our formal Proposal for the Scope of Work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
As the owner, I personally have over 20 years experience in the building trades combined with 4 years of Architectural Studies at University of Illinois-Chicago. During my college career I also worked at two Chicago based architectural firms.
