Anthony O. says, "I hired John to remove the popcorn ceiling in my family, dining and living room and then to paint the ceiling in those areas. I love to give five stars, however in this case I cannot. Jhon seems to be a very nice and respectable man. But, yes there is a but...When I hired John he told me the job would take two and a half days. After he started the work he told me he wanted to finish on the second day. I told him that was great he could stay as late as he needed to complete the work. I did my best to stay out of his (and his co-workers way) and wait until he was ready to show me the completed project. When day two was complete and John showed me the 'finished' product I was disappointed. Where the ceiling and the walls met there were blotches of white paint and or caulk along the top of the colored walls, including an accent wall that will be very hard to match with new paint. I am not a handyman, but have painted a couple of rooms in my house that looked much better than the job he was paid for when I had finished mine. Also, other professionals that have painted in my home did NOT disappoint when they were done. I asked him if he could come back to touch up the areas I was not happy with the following day (a Wednesday) and he could not. We agreed to have him come by the following Monday to finish the job as I was unavailable during the weekend. It took only about 45 minutes to touch up the areas in need. I just believe when it comes the work that a true professional would have seen this and not have expected his customer to accept the 'final' product he showed me. I would have been embarrassed to leave my walls in that condition for long.
Also, when I set up the interview to discuss the work and get an estimate we were supposed to meet a 4 pm. At 4:30 I called Jhon to see if he was still coming and he indicated he was. He arrived about 15 minutes later. Also, both days when he was working on the job he was over 30 minutes late day one to buy supplies and about 45 minutes late day two because of transportation issues. The day he came to touch up the paint he arrived on time.
I wish John success. After touching up the area that needed it...the ceiling looks good. I did not shop around so I can't speak for the value for the money although from what I read it seemed like a fair price for a job that is well done."See more
