FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
You decide the final price. When booking I take a deposit to book your session. On the day of shooting there is no time limit, unlimited outfit changes, unlimited looks. After shooting, we will look over the images together, and you decide what you want. Any images not chosen, are not saved. There is a session fee (the deposit) and a per image fee. This allows you to be in control of the total cost. No photo packages where you're locked in to a set price and set amount of images.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I’ve been doing photography in general since getting a fine art degree in this field. However headshots specifically started when I learned of Peter Hurley. The headshot master. I’ve learned from this man, studied under him, became a friend, and now an associate photographer of his.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Have a conversation. A portrait, and especially a headshot really comes down to the expression. It's the photographers job to get that. The technical side should be good, always. But the expression is what makes the difference. So chat with whoever you're interested in working with, and make a decision after that. Everyone has a budget, but keep this in mind: Is it worth paying 50% less for 50% less quality photos? Headshots represent you! How do you want companies and/or customers viewing you?
